Our bentwood rings are not weak and delicate, but it’s not a bad idea to keep the polished finish looking nice over the coming years.<\/p>\n
The two main cautions we give regarding the care of your ring are to avoid the use of hand sanitizer or other harsh chemicals while wearing your ring (to prevent the eating\u00a0away of the finish) and to remove your ring when you will be working with tools or doing any heavy lifting (to avoid dings and scratches).<\/p>\n
The hard finish on the rings can be maintained with any hand safe buffing wax.\u00a0 You would simply rub a thin layer of wax onto your ring, let it sit for around 30 minutes, then hand buff with a soft cloth.<\/p>\n
If you ever find the finish starting to wear down to the wood, you can send it our way for a free refinish within the first year (after this time, the charge would be $50).\u00a0 As long as the wood is coated by the finish, it won’t have a chance to deteriorate\/break down.<\/p>\n
